Description

Derived from the Babchi plant, often called the Miracle Plant. Bakuchiol is nature’s answer to retinol, without the harsh side effects. Known as the “gentle retinol,” with time it helps with anti-aging benefits like smoother skin, reduced fine lines, and improved tone without the dryness or irritation.

WHAT IS IT: Bakuchi oil (Babchi oil) is an ayurvedic herb, native to Sri Lanka and India, it is renowned to be a highly effective herb for the skin. It is naturally rich in the powerful antioxidant "Bakuchiol", a strong anti-ager.

GOOD TO KNOW: No dilution is needed. This is a cold-pressed babchi "oil" that naturally contains bakuchiol, rather than a highly concentrated bakuchiol "extract". Because it’s a whole botanical oil, it can be used directly on the skin without mixing it with a carrier oil, however it shouldn't be used in the direct sunlight. Use in the PM and always do a skin patch test before using any new product.

SKIN TYPE: Most skin types, combination and problematic skin. Not for sensitive skin.
SMELLS LIKE: a nutty earthy aroma
IMPORTANT: This is a dark oil but doesn't stain the skin, allow it time to absorb into the skin. Use only a few drops at a time.
*IMPORTANT USAGE: Because this product is 100% pure babchi seed oil, it is intended for nighttime use only. Do not apply before sun exposure. Avoid usage in direct sunlight. It may cause photosensitivity.

The Daily Ritual

In the PM: On clean skin, after cleansing apply 2-3 drops on your fingertips & press both hands together a few times then gently massage all over your face. Oils will melt into your skin. Use in the evening. Do not use in the direct sun, could cause photosensitivity in direct sunlight.

On my 2nd bottle

I am 49 years old and this product works great. I use it as a serum then apply the cacay face oil on top. I love the improvement, my skin seems more firm and even toned. Would recommend it to anyone 40+.

Bad Photosensitive Reaction

I left one review, but they removed it so I’ll leave another and this time I’ll include a photo. I used this oil for about two weeks. And then I was outside for about a half hour. My skin got all red and irritated and then for the next few days these red splotches appeared everywhere where I had applied the oil so it apparently made me photosensitive! From what I read it’s not supposed to do that unless it’s cut with another inferior oil. They gave me my money back, but my skin is all screwed up now - instead of making me look younger, it’s made me look older! It’s been almost a week and my skin still hurts so bad.

It is not the same as isolated bakuchiol extract. These are different ingredients with different properties. Our product directions clearly state to apply only at night and avoid sun exposure while using the product. The statement that our product was 'cut with another inferior oil' is incorrect. Our Bakuchiol Face Oil is 100% pure babchi (Psoralea corylifolia) seed oil and is not diluted or adulterated. Again, we apologize for your dissatisfaction.

Still Experimenting!!

My skin just soaks up this beautiful oil. I just started using it about two weeks ago and waiting for its effect to present themselves. However, this morning as I was leaving work this gentlemen that I work with said to me "you are a very beautiful women and your skin looks amazing "! I blushed and said to myself that freaking oil has sneaked up on me!" Thank you for creating such a beautiful treasure which allows women like to experience chemical free beauty!!
