ESSENTIAL OILS ARE SMART
Yes, essential oils are smart. Many of them have antibiotic properties, when they enter the body they know the good bacteria from the bad bacteria. Unlike many of our commerical antibiotics that kill all bacteria it comes in contact with including the good bacteria. Essential oils only kill the bad bacteria. Unlike chemcial drugs, essential oils do not remain in the body, they leave no toxins behind.
WHAT ESSENTIAL OILS ARE NOT
Essential oils are not like a carrier oil or a cooking oil, they are not oily to the touch and they are volatile, meaning they evaporate on exposure to air and have a powerful aroma.
ESSENTIAL OILS ARE CONCENTRATED
Essential oils are very powerful, strong and highly concentrated. They need to be used with guidance and in low concentrations. Normally you only need a few drops of essential oils to work with. Most essential oils need a carrier oil or base and should not be used directly on the skin. There are very few essential oils that can be used clean on the skin such as Tea tree oil and Lavender, and these oils should still have a "patch test" on the skin before using.
ESSENTIAL OILS HAVE WONDERFUL BENEFITS FOR THE SKIN
Amongst many of the health benefits essential oils provide, Essential oils also help remedy a number of skin conditions — from acne to aging, dryness to oiliness. As well as deliver important nutrients to the skin, and when combined with the right carrier oils ,you will see absolutely positive results.
*Note- Essential oils are pure and undiluted, sometimes you may hear of the term “aromatherapy oils” which are essential oils that are in a carrier oil and already diluted.
